Peter McVerry Trust - Big Sleep In / New Identity
The Brief

One of their fundraising ideas was to expand the well-known practice of sleeping outside for one night to support charities, by reaching out to schools to get involved by hosting a sleep-in on the school grounds.

The Solution
The Big Sleep In brand had to keep within the over-arching Peter McVerry Trust family to ensure it was recognisable as an extension of the main brand. It also had to appeal to school-goers and simply communicate what the call-to-action was. Replacing the “I” with a sleeping bag was a simple demonstration of the focus of the campaign. The remaining characters have been treated with rounded corner to keep the logotype approachable and fun. To compliment the shades of blue used in the main brand, teal was used to supply secondary colour and attract attention.
Any school wishing to take part can get posters and a checklist as part of an information pack that explains the campaign in full detail. If you or your school would like more information please contact Peter McVerry Trust: fundraising@pmvtrust.ie
