The Brief

Maura O'Rourke is an international artist, based in Dublin who exports a large amount of her work to America. She wanted a sub-brand called Iconic Ireland to help see and catalogue her artwork abroad.

The Solution

Fundamental to the project was to ensure the brand of Maura O'Rourke and Iconic Ireland have strong parallels. Brand recognition needed to be linked to ensure that current customers were aware of the international side of her business. The brand was developed using strong graphic shapes using a grid system (as shown in the samples). Rotation & cropping was used as a visual language to show a sense of movement and to modernise the symbol. The branding was applied to stationery and the site was developed to showcase the work.
